‘We are the Wildflowers’

“Garden Sweets” comes with an enchanting story full of wild growth... 

We were two best ‘buds’ living in a Garden Suite in North Vancouver; with an abundant, overgrown garden at our doorstep. We couldn't help but cover our suite with all the mesmerising blooms that kept popping up over the season, a new surprise and opportunity for appreciation each day. A serious attachment formed to these little 'sweet' hearts, as we let them dry in bouquets organically. 

The flowers were wise little messengers asking for nothing in return for their beauty. Suddenly we realised we were living in a floral jungle.. and with enough creative curiosity, the message came… 

Could we actually keep these babies alive forever, blending art with the beauty nature provides us with? The flowers answered a clear yes!... as if we were in 'The Garden of Live flowers' scene of Alice in wonderland.

"Daisy: What kind of a garden do you come from?

Alice: Oh, I don't come from any garden.

Daisy: Do you suppose she's a wildflower?"

So.. we became 'The Wildflowers' amongst the Art Garden.

 Around the same time, we started experimenting with a medium called Art Resin, a two part clear liquid potion that cured over pieces of art. Bewildered, we threw a dried poinsettia petal into the resin which cured beautifully. This trans-formative medium allowed us to cast our dried flowers in it, magnifying and preserving them forever.

With a shared love for Art, Fashion, and Nature.. Garden Sweets was born and has been self taught throughout.
